Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question about working with Granite State Plumbing Co? Here are answers to what customers ask us most.
How much will my repair cost?
We provide upfront, flat-rate pricing before any work begins — no surprises, no guessing. After a quick diagnosis, we’ll walk you through exactly what needs to be done and what it costs, and we won’t start the repair until you approve the price.
Do you charge a fee just to come out and look at the problem?
Yes, we charge a diagnostic/trip fee for our technician’s time and travel, which is clearly explained when you book. If you move forward with the recommended repair, this is typically the only charge — there’s no separate “coming out” fee on top of the repair cost.
How fast can you get someone to my house?
For emergencies — burst pipes, major leaks, no hot water — we prioritize same-day service whenever possible. For non-urgent repairs, we’ll schedule a time that works for you, and we’ll call ahead if anything changes.
What if the technician can’t fix it during the first visit?
Most repairs are completed in a single visit. If a job turns out to need specialized equipment, additional parts, or a follow-up visit, we’ll explain why upfront and keep you informed on next steps and timing — you won’t be left wondering what’s happening.
Do you offer a warranty on your work?
Yes. We stand behind our repairs with a workmanship and parts warranty. If the same issue recurs due to our work, we’ll make it right at no additional charge — just give us a call and reference your original service date.
What’s included in a standard drain cleaning or clog removal?
Our technicians carry equipment designed to handle the vast majority of residential clogs. In rare cases where a clog is deeper or more severe than standard equipment can reach, we’ll let you know immediately and discuss options rather than leaving you to figure it out elsewhere.
Do you work with landlords and property managers?
Yes — we regularly handle service calls across multiple rental units and properties, and can work directly with tenants or coordinate scheduling through you as the property owner/manager.
What if I need to reschedule or you’re running late?
We do our best to arrive within your scheduled window and will call if anything changes. If you need to adjust your appointment, just give us a call — we’re happy to work around your schedule.
Do you offer emergency or after-hours service?
Yes, for urgent issues like burst or frozen pipes, no hot water, or major leaks, we offer after-hours emergency service. After-hours calls may include an additional emergency service fee, which we’ll always confirm with you before dispatching.
